The Macallan Gold Double Cask Highland Scotch Single Malt Whiskey
Established in 1824, The Macallan belongs to the select group of the most prestigious distilleries in the world. Its name is derived from Gaelic ‘’magh’’ (fertile land) and ‘’Ellan’’ a transcription of St. Fillan’s name, an 8th century Irish monk. The range of colors in The Macallan whiskies is entirely natural, drawn only from the aging in casks.
The Macallan Gold expresses aromas of orange peel and candied lemon zest. Vanilla notes from the aging in sherry casks can also be perceived, as well as a spicy touch that may be reminiscent of ginger and cinnamon.
