The Cave Old Vines Cabernet Sauvignon
The Cave Old Vines is a unique wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from a vineyard planted in the early 1980’s in Kerem Ben Zimra. Professional nurturing over the years gave us the old-vines from which we created this magnificent The Cave wine. A combination of the vines’ age, optimal harvest time, meticulous production processes and 24 months of aging in new French oak barrels in the cave resulted in an amazing wine with more than a decade of aging potential. The Cave Winery is located in an old cave created by the Ottomana on Mt. Horshan.
Cave Old Vines is complex and highly aromatic, with concentrated and multi-layered aromas rich in black fruit and spices and scents of toasted oak with traces of coffee and chocolate. The flavor is complex and balanced with generous ripe tannins and a long and elegant finish.
