Before going independent, Lewis Pasco made wine at Recanati and Tishbi. The Pasco Project BDX, made at Beit El, is his Bordeaux blend led by Cabernet. It is a big, smoky wine built on central Israeli terroir.
Mood: Independent, Smoky, Bold
Our sommelier says
This is the Pasco signature: a winemaker's-cut Bordeaux blend out of the Benjamin hills.
Tasting notes
Dark fruit, both fresh and dried, with regional herb, earth, and smoky oak. Rich and big, with layered black fruit, firm tannin, and a savory backbone. The close is long and smoky, with oak and herb holding on.
Food pairing
Pour it with grilled ribeye, smoked brisket, or lamb chops, or at a Yom Tov table that calls for a big-flavor red.
