Les Lauriers de Rothschild Montagne-Saint-Emilion
The Herzog Selection Les Lauriers des Rothschild is comprised of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. Les Lauriers des Rothschild, hails from the St. Emillion, France appelation and is aged in French oak for 12 months. The wine has a bright purple color that gets lighter at the rim. The aroma is a great earthy fruity aroma, like cherries and some raspberries. There is a subtle oak present. This is a light bodied, medium acid taste with more red fruit on the palate, with some notes of cedar. The smooth tannins create a reasonably long finish that sits on the top of the tongue.
