Hagafen Sauvignon Blanc
Owned and operated by Irit and Ernie Weir, the winery was founded in 1979, and the first commercially released vintage was harvested in 1980. In the ensuing years, we have grown from a small partnership producing wine with grapes from Winery Lake Vineyard - then owned by Rene DiRosa - to a well-established wine company whose wines are distributed throughout North America and overseas.
Hagafen Sauvignon Blanc is produced from a well-established vineyard in the Eastern foothills of Napa Valley, where hot days and cool nights are ideal for creating crisp, clean, long-finishing, food-friendly wine. On the nose, Hagafen's highly aromatic Sauvignon Blanc shows lemon, grapefruit, and kiwi. This crisp, bracing, mouth-watering wine fills the palate with a well integrated mix of bright fruit and citrus zest, with just a hint of tingly liveliness. Balanced and with solid structure. Hagafen Sauvignon Blanc works well with a variety of fish and lighter, roasted game dishes.
