Five Stones Nobility 215a
A new winery has been founded called Five Stones Vineyards and its base is Givat Yeshayahu in the Judean Hills. The winery is close to Elah Valley where David fought Goliath. The name 215a was added to the Nobility label in memory of Sergeant Maj. Yitzhak Tamir, brother of winegrower Shmuel Tamir, who was killed in the Yom Kippur War (1973) in Sinai. 215a was Yitzhak's radio code when he served as commander of a unit that rescued and saved many injured soldiers in the battlefield.
The Five Stones Nobility 215a Red Blend is made in the Bordeaux style. Blended from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc grapes and matured in French oak barrels this wine offers a deep purple color. On the palate rich black fruit, plum, cherry and berries followed by strawberry and spice. Hints of charred wood lead to a finish of coffee and herbs.
