Dalton Pink Moscato (750ml)
Delivery across New York City: $5 in Crown Heights, $10 in Brooklyn, $20 in the rest of NYC. Free pickup at 511 Empire Blvd.
Dalton Winery sits up in the Galilee, and its Pink Moscato takes the house moscato and tints it with a touch of red juice. The result is a sweet, barely-fizzy pink that drinks very easily.
Mood: Sweet, pink, easy.
Sommelier's note
"The bottle that gets poured for everyone who says they do not really drink wine."
Tasting notes
Strawberry, peach and a little fresh grape on the nose. The palate is sweet and light with a soft effervescence, and the alcohol stays low enough that a glass asks for a second. It finishes clean on red berry.
Pairing
Serve it properly cold, around 4-6C, with fresh fruit, cake, puddings or the dessert end of a yom tov meal. It is also an easy kiddush pour for a table that likes things sweet.
