Carmel Limited 2009
The Carmel Winery encompasses a wide diversity of vineyards and grape varieties throughout the country. This allows for the winery to choose grapes from every region – from the Upper Galilee and the Golan Heights, Shomron and Jerusalem Hills, to the lowlands of the Negev. Carmel is continuingly striving for excellence and uncompromising quality.
The grapes used in making this delicious wine were fermented and barrel-aged in French oak for a period of 15 months. The wine was then blended (65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Petit Verdot, 15% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc), bottled and aged for another year. This limited edition wine is a deep purple in color with an aroma of blackcurrants, cassis, bitter-sweet chocolate and hints of smoke. It is full-bodied with a long, well-balanced aftertaste.
