The fruit for Carmel Appellation Rosé comes from the Sha'al Vineyard, at 750 meters elevation in the Judean Hills. It is dry and elegant, and it is non-mevushal for the guest Shabbos table.
Mood: Elegant. Dry. Judean.
Our sommelier says
This Israeli rosé is properly serious, cold-fermented and dry. It is good value for a Shabbos table with real food.
Tasting notes
The nose has red grapefruit and white peach, lifted by rose petal. On the palate it is textured and dry, with clean red fruit and mineral acidity. A bright, long finish follows.
Food pairing
Salmon, mezze, tuna carpaccio, dairy Shabbos lunches, and a Provençal fish course all go beautifully with it.
