Bat Shlomo Betty's Cuvee 2012
Bat Shlomo Betty's Cuvee 2014 is made by the Bat Shlomo Winery, founded in 2010. The village was named after Baron Rothschild's Mother and was one of the original wine growing towns in the 1800s. Ari Erle, the winemaker from Napa Valley, is now returning glory to the town by making world class wines. They use sustainable methods in the vineyards and concrete egg fermenters. The Betty's Cuvee is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12.5% Cabernet Franc, 12.5% Petit Verdot that ages for 20 months in new French barrels.
It has a bouquet of black cherries, licorice, touches of herbs and sweet oak. It has flavors of wild berries, hints of cinnamon, chocolate and light sweet oak. The wine has big tannins which complement fatty, heavy foods, like steak.
